A 2 phase study was conducted in Rwanda during March 2010 and April 2011, assessing task-shifting from physicians to nurses using the PrePex device for male circumcision by comparing the AE rates and healing time. The outcomes of nurses performing PrePex MC were not inferior to outcomes achieved by physicians.
